New Start

I moved. New city, new flat, and almost nothing in it.

No food in the cupboards, no plates, one frying pan I couldn't use, and no towel. Which turned out to be the perfect place to start, because I've handed the whole thing over — what I eat, what I spend, when I sleep, what I work on. I don't buy anything without approval now.

Day one, I asked what I was allowed to buy. He gave me $90. About fifty US dollars, for the kitchen and the week.

This is the first of a series, and it's the first time in two years of doing this that I've started from nothing.
